Welcome to the Tiverton Tabletop Club

We are a group of like minded wargamers, who all like to gather and roll dice against each other in games of fantasy or science fiction. The group meets on alternating Thursdays (see the event list in the side bar to the right, or below on mobile, to find out when the next session is). More information about the club, including relevant fees and who is part of the club Committee can be found from the menu bar above.

Hot Stuff!

Only a couple of days late this time… Much fun, despite the heat at our regular meet on the 10th – plenty of Warmachine, 40K and Kill Team with cold drinks available from the fridge (much needed!). But that’s not all – following on from the Tivendus Apocalypse (write up coming soon…. I promise), Steve has extended the narrative into an on going land grab style campaign open to everyone – just turn up and play! So far, the Aeldari have colonised dino island and Magnus has promised to burn it to the ground.

Just in time for June!

Damn that was a busy month! I completely forgot to even take any photos of the games being played on the 12th of June – sorry, and here we are, close to a week over due for the games played on the 26th (see below). I am slacking! I guess its just a miracle that I remembered Junes’ Paint Appreciation Society round up… We are also coming up on 3 and a half weeks until our next Warmachine Steamroller tournament – sign ups are looking good, but there’s still time to get in if you want to throw down 🙂

Who wants more Warmachine??

Of course you do!! That’s why I am pleased to announce a series of events over the summer! The first two events will be standard Steamroller (2 lists, 100pts, up to 16 players, 3 rounds with an optional fourth if leading players want it, scenarios randomly drawn on the day) as I know we have members wanting to practice for the Welsh at the end of September. The last date, may be a steamroller, but I will wait to see what the appetite is just two weeks following the Welsh, and whether or not SFG have released the Narrative Event… Read moreWho wants more Warmachine??

The dust settles after the Tussle

That was an amazing day – 10 players fighting it out for supremacy, with Luke cinching the final victory. Some absolutely riveting games were being played and it was a joy to watch how things unfolded. Also, congrats to Dan (entry #1) and Rob (entry #3) for drawing the vote in the painting competition – I couldn’t choose the deciding vote, so they both won! There is a definite hunger for more, so watch this space for more future Warmachine tournaments.

2 Weeks Until The Tussle!

With just 2 weeks remaining until the Warmachine Tivvy Tussle, I wanted to give an update on where we are and fill in a little more details. First of all, we are currently at 50% of capacity with 8 tickets sold, but there are a couple more attendees giving verbal assurances, so I am currently planning for 10 players / 5 tables. This is awesome! However as we are very likely to be above 8 players, there is the chance of requiring the fourth game – but fear not, if your brain is frazzled by this point, the last game… Read more2 Weeks Until The Tussle!

April’s Hobby and the Apocalypse

It’s already May, and so its time to look back at the hobby time our attendees have accomplished in the past month! April ’25 Paint Appreciation Society is the gallery, also available from the Hobby Corner drop down menu above. Last weekend, we also hosted the Tivendus Apocalypse game, which was a huge success! There will be more to come on this as we will have a few articles coming that will tell the story of the weekend, and what went down… But until then, here are a few pictures from when I got to swing past on the Saturday… Read moreApril’s Hobby and the Apocalypse

Eventful!

This is a rather eventful update! While a bunch of you are no doubt looking forward to this weekends’ Tivendus Apocalypse game (ticket sales are now closed, I am afraid), we have our next Warmachine event on the horizon – Just 4 short weeks away, I am excited to announce the the Tivvy Tussle! This is a 100pt Steamroller (with prize support!) for up to 16 players. Check out the page here to secure your ticket, and don’t forget to register on Longshanks either. As a final reminder, next club meet is the 1st May – come along to revel… Read moreEventful!
