We are a group of like minded wargamers, who all like to gather and roll dice against each other in games of fantasy or science fiction. The group meets on alternating Thursdays, opening up at 6:30pm (see the event list in the side bar to the right, or below on mobile, to find out when the next session is). TTC Presents: Spring Stormrager is a 2 day Warmachine tournament that we are hosting at the end of February. This is a 5 round, 100pt steamroller, using standard scenarios. Tickets are now on sale, along with more information from the events page. This is our biggest and most ambitious event yet, but I am committed to ensuring that everyone can win *something* to feel good about, and don’t forget – even if you end up coming last, the wooden spoon is worth free entry to a future TTC event. What’s the downside?

As September comes to an end, it’s time to reflect on the hobby that we have achieved. Slightly lighter this month, but that’s not a slight on anyone – September is always a busy one as life returns to normal from the summer rush! This is an upcoming narrative event on the 4th of October for the Warmachine game system – tickets and details here – where two teams of players will attempt to attack or defend the mighty dragon Blighterghast as part of the Orgoth invasion! Once the scenario event is done, people are welcome to fill out the rest of the day with casual games. This will be an entertaining and relaxing day aiming to tell a fun story from the world of the Iron Kingdoms.

The Summer Slam… well… slammed!! 5 tables of Warmachine on the go simultaneously – always a beautiful sight to see. The missions on the day ended up being Payload, Two Fronts and Best Laid Plans. The competition was tight, but congratulations to Martyn for taking the top spot, and to Nathan for winning the painting vote (entry #1 below). 6 months since relaunch. We made it! You may or may not know, but when I took on club management at the turn of the year, and formed the committee, I gave myself a line in the sand of 6 months to verify that the club was sustainable with the way that I wanted to run things.
