Club Business

As we approach the 1st anniversary of the club restarting (first Thursday in February), I want to again thank all our attendees for their support in making the club what it is 🙂 but more importantly, it’s time for the AGM (Annual General Meeting). This is a requirement of the club charter, and is an opportunity for our members to have a say in the runnings of the club, and to confirm that you are happy with the job that the committee is doing. To avoid making this all too formal, yet still meeting the requirements of our association and… Read moreClub Business

December Hobby & New Year Gaming

It’s been a year since the last update (ha ha), but check out the December Paint Appreciation gallery (link here, or via the website hobby menu or on Facebook photo gallery). It was a bit of a quieter month, but I figure that is really to be expected for the time of year, let alone recovery from the effort people put in to go the extra mile for Not Grey November. We should call out to Steve, however, who managed to complete painting a years long goal of 10k Ultramarines, whilst also fully paining every GW box set! Certainly worth… Read moreDecember Hobby & New Year Gaming

There’s a storm coming…

TTC Presents: Spring Stormrager is a 2 day Warmachine tournament that we are hosting at the end of February. This is a 5 round, 100pt steamroller, using standard scenarios. Tickets are now on sale, along with more information from the events page. This is our biggest and most ambitious event yet, but I am committed to ensuring that everyone can win *something* to feel good about, and don’t forget – even if you end up coming last, the wooden spoon is worth free entry to a future TTC event. What’s the downside?

Hobbytime Update!

Its only a few days late… not quite a whole week, but here is the Paint Appreciation Society gallery for October! Another good month with some stunning effort and progress being displayed. Take a look and get motivated, because we are now into Not Grey November – this is not a competition, or an obligation, but our annual encouragement to pick up a brush and just do something, anything, to help you feel good about your pile of shame and moving it towards completion 🙂 Already there have been some really cool pictures turning up in our WhatsApp group (head… Read moreHobbytime Update!

Good News Everyone!

<Insert Farnsworth meme here> Starting from our next club meet on the 30th of October, we will be opening up an hour earlier at 6:30pm instead of our old time of 7:30pm. This is provided with no extra cost to our members! In other news, I appreciate that posting updates to show the games played each session has been lacking recently, but this is actually a good sign – we are having so much fun playing that we are forgetting to take photos of all the great games being played each week! However I do apologise, as it can make… Read moreGood News Everyone!

Back to School Hobbytime

As September comes to an end, it’s time to reflect on the hobby that we have achieved. Slightly lighter this month, but that’s not a slight on anyone – September is always a busy one as life returns to normal from the summer rush! Check it out via the Hobby menu item, or click here to check it out! Additionally, you can also find these images on our Facebook, and shortly, our Instagram too!

Dragonfall!

This is an upcoming narrative event on the 4th of October for the Warmachine game system – tickets and details here – where two teams of players will attempt to attack or defend the mighty dragon Blighterghast as part of the Orgoth invasion! Once the scenario event is done, people are welcome to fill out the rest of the day with casual games. This will be an entertaining and relaxing day aiming to tell a fun story from the world of the Iron Kingdoms.
