Summer Slamming!!

The Summer Slam… well… slammed!! 5 tables of Warmachine on the go simultaneously – always a beautiful sight to see. The missions on the day ended up being Payload, Two Fronts and Best Laid Plans. The competition was tight, but congratulations to Martyn for taking the top spot, and to Nathan for winning the painting vote (entry #1 below). I strongly suggest taking a look at our Instagram too for a reel of the day getting started in round 1. The fun doesn’t stop here though – information is now up for our next event on September 6th; The Autumn… Read moreSummer Slamming!!

Hot Stuff!

Only a couple of days late this time… Much fun, despite the heat at our regular meet on the 10th – plenty of Warmachine, 40K and Kill Team with cold drinks available from the fridge (much needed!). But that’s not all – following on from the Tivendus Apocalypse (write up coming soon…. I promise), Steve has extended the narrative into an on going land grab style campaign open to everyone – just turn up and play! So far, the Aeldari have colonised dino island and Magnus has promised to burn it to the ground.

Just in time for June!

Damn that was a busy month! I completely forgot to even take any photos of the games being played on the 12th of June – sorry, and here we are, close to a week over due for the games played on the 26th (see below). I am slacking! I guess its just a miracle that I remembered Junes’ Paint Appreciation Society round up… We are also coming up on 3 and a half weeks until our next Warmachine Steamroller tournament – sign ups are looking good, but there’s still time to get in if you want to throw down 🙂

Who wants more Warmachine??

Of course you do!! That’s why I am pleased to announce a series of events over the summer! The first two events will be standard Steamroller (2 lists, 100pts, up to 16 players, 3 rounds with an optional fourth if leading players want it, scenarios randomly drawn on the day) as I know we have members wanting to practice for the Welsh at the end of September. The last date, may be a steamroller, but I will wait to see what the appetite is just two weeks following the Welsh, and whether or not SFG have released the Narrative Event… Read moreWho wants more Warmachine??

The dust settles after the Tussle

That was an amazing day – 10 players fighting it out for supremacy, with Luke cinching the final victory. Some absolutely riveting games were being played and it was a joy to watch how things unfolded. Also, congrats to Dan (entry #1) and Rob (entry #3) for drawing the vote in the painting competition – I couldn’t choose the deciding vote, so they both won! There is a definite hunger for more, so watch this space for more future Warmachine tournaments.
